New Website Highlights the 40th Anniversary of Endangered Species Act
As we lead up to the actual anniversary on December 28, 2013, we pay special recognition to this landmark legislation and critical safety net for wildlife, and we especially honor the work that you do to support conservation of these species. It’s a time for us to call attention to the unique plants and animals that call Northeast home, and for us to highlight the projects and partnerships preventing their extinction and moving them toward recovery.
A special website has launched, and through Virginia, the Northeast Region of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will be the first region to be featured there. Each week throughout the next year, another state will be featured.
