This location was selected to support the area as it recovers from Hurricane Helene, as well as to highlight Western NC waterways that drain into the Tennessee River, including the beautiful French Broad and Little Tennessee Rivers.
The theme this year is "Resilience & Relationships."
Day 1 will focus on the impacts of Hurricane Helene on human, terrestrial, and aquatic life. We will hear about post-Helene monitoring efforts from those on the ground performing the assessments.
On Day 2, attendees will learn about the value of partnerships as they explore some of the local and regional collaborative efforts to keep the Tennessee River Valley a place where human and aquatic life thrive.
