Cal DuBrock

DuBrock, Cal

Cal DuBrock has more than 35 years of progressively responsible experience in developing, leading, and administering conservation programs.  Prior to joining the Appalachian LCC, Cal DuBrock worked for 32 years with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the last 24 as wildlife management director where he directed the planning and operations of the agency's wildlife research and management programs.  Cal also previously held positions as an ecologist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and as a survey statistician with the U.S. Energy Information Administration.  Over the last three decades Cal has served on LCC steering committees, joint venture boards, and held leadership roles in the Atlantic and National Flyway Councils, the U.S. Committee for the North American Bird Conservation Initiative, Human Dimensions Working Group for the North American Waterfowl Management Plan, as well as represented the Northeast Association of Fish and Wildlife Resource Agencies at the Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora. He received a B.S. in fisheries and wildlife science from Michigan State University, and a M.S. in Wildlife Management from Virginia Tech.  In addition, he has taken postgraduate coursework in public policy and public administration at Penn State. Cal is a certified wildlife biologist and a U.S. Army veteran having served from 1972-1975 at posts in Alaska and Kansas.



Expertise
